On Sunday we were able to attend church on Sunday morning. This was a rare treat. We went to a large church in the city that felt more like an American church than the Guatemalan churches we are accustomed to. The live worship is always the best part. We sang some songs that were familiar and new songs as well, all in Spanish. This church has a heart for the people and we have connected with them on other occasions. Although their church was a stark contrast to the churches in Canilla, it was an illustration of how we’re all in this together. The Body of Christ reaches past language and economic barriers including us all.
